One Roll of 120 Lomochrome Purple. Is it AWESOME or AWFUL???

I recently got my hands on Lomography Lomochrome Purple in 120. Without any plan in mind I set out in the Town Commons of Greenville,NC to see what this film was all about. I shot this film on my Mamiya 645 Pro and 80mm f/2.8 lens. I'm very pleased with the way these images came out. I had no expectations for this film and was very surprised at the number of keepers I had from this one roll! Which film shots were your favorite and why? Testing The Exposure Limits Of Lomography 400 120 Film + Comparison With Portra 400

I’ve been curious for a while now about how a cheaper ‘consumer’ film, like Lomography’s CN 400 holds up to extreme under and overexposure, in comparison to pro films like Kodak’s Portra 400 and Ektar 100. Let’s just say I was surprised by the results. ►*DISCLAIMER* Some of the links below are affiliate links, where I earn a small commission if you click on the link and purchase an item. I often heard other photographers recommending Kodak Portra 400 and Kodak Ektar 100, but I had no idea what their strenghts and weaknesses were. So I just shot a bunch of both films to get a sense of where they performed best. Portra has a reputation as a premier portrait photography film, but it is also suitable for landscapes and street photography. It produces true-to-life colors that remain neutral, yet vibrant at the same time. Ektar has a tendency to produce very saturated, vibrant colors. It tends to favor saturating red/orange tones, while green tones remain truer to life. One area where Ektar tends to flounder is portrait photography. Since it saturates red tones, people with lighter skin tend to have a sunburnt look, which isn't very flattering. Your results may vary. First rolls of the new 120 Ilford Ortho 80 Plus shot on a Mamiya 645 Pro

A couple months ago I ran across a few rolls of the, new to 35mm and 120 format, Ilford Ortho 80. This is a very unique orthochromatic film that is really fun to shoot. I shot two rolls of 120 with my Mamiya 645 Pro. Going against the grain, no pun intended, I decided to shoot a portrait session with my first rolls. I chatted with a few friends, got a quick rundown of what I should look out for, and I was off taking portraits. I hand metered all my shots with my trusty Sekonic L-308 X-U. I think this is an interesting film stock that i'd def. love to have more time with! KODAK TRI-X vs ILFORD HP5: Review and Comparison, B-Dubz Episode 3

B-Dubz Episode 3 (Black and White Film Reviews). In this video, I review and compare Kodak Tri-X 400 vs Ilford HP5 Plus 400. Both of these films are considered excellent options for black and white street photography. Tri-X 400 is famous in the street photography community for its gritty, grainy "street look". HP5+ is a little less celebrated, but is this due to quality or marketing? I share sample photos that I shot in 35mm and 120 with both films. I also pushed tri-x and hp5 to 1600 ISO and share those results as well. Cameras I used to produce these photos: Canon FTb, Nikon FM10, Zenit 12XP, Mamiya C330 and Minolta Autocord. Rollei Retro 80S Black and White Film Review | All About Film

Rollei Retro 80S Black and White Film Review | All About Film

I like Retro 80S a lot. It’s a top-five black and white film for me. Portraits, landscapes, fine-art work, scientific imagery, and especially scientific landscape work are great uses for 80S. Sports, architecture, astrophotography, and flash photography are some of the types of work for which a different film would be a better option. 80S is a persnickety film that does not get along well with some common developers. It likes a fast development time and chemistry that tends to deliver flatter results. And it likes its chemistry like I like my tuna sandwiches – fresh. An old tuna salad sandwich, like the one I, back in 1993, left in my high school’s 30-year time capsule, is similar to old film developer and is always a bad idea; this film makes old developer an even worse idea. If you set out to use Retro 80S, understand that it’s got a learning curve. If you haven’t used a high-contrast film before, you will mess up a good number of rolls. So if you haven’t used it, get at least five rolls and don’t shoot the second until you see what you did wrong on the first. Don’t shoot the third until you see what went wrong on the second, and so forth. This is not a film that anyone can pick up, shoot away on, and expect good results all the time. Retro 80S delivers amazing results, but it makes you earn them first. ROLLEI RPX 100 - AUF EINE ROLLE I Analogfotografie On Location Film Review

ROLLEI RPX 100 - AUF EINE ROLLE I Analogfotografie On Location Film Review

PATREON https://www.patreon.com/shootfilmlikeaboss ABOUT THIS VIDEO With my plans of getting a train to London for some Street Photography put off by strong winds and rain I decided to stay at home and visit a local Forest. I wanted to try out Rollei Retro 400 120mm film in my Zeiss Ikon Nettar and also try out a roll of Ilford HP5 from 1997. Whilst I wanted to try something different with the double exposure it didn't quite come out as intended. In fact, I didn't even know what intended was! However, It's always useful to try new things, fail and learn. The 1997 HP5 was interesting. I shot this at box speed (400) having previously had great results shooting expired film at box speed but with this one the images came out darker than expected, should have over exposed by a couple of stops! Better safe than sorry! The stand development I wanted to try out on this film and compare it to D76 normal development. Hardly any difference except I noticed the stand gave grainier negatives and I also saw slight Bromide drag. FUJIFILM ACROS II x Fujifilm GS645S | First Impressions

Fuji Acros II is finally here! I fortunately had the chance to get some Acros 100 II as soon as it was released and compare it with the OG Fuji Acros 100 to see if there are really any differences between the new and the old. All of the photos were taken on a Fuji GS645s Professional camera.
